Eka Sari Lorena Surbakti is one of Indonesia’s most influential voices in transportation, logistics, and national development. She currently serves as CEO of PT. BIG, PT. Eka Sari Lorena Express, and PT. Eka Sari Lorena Logistics, companies that are reshaping Indonesia’s freight and mobility ecosystem through innovation, digitization, and customer-centric design. She is also the President Commissioner of PT. Global Eka Lestari.

My Story
Beyond her corporate leadership, Eka is a respected public policy advisor and an active force in regulatory transformation. She served as Chairwoman of the National Road Transport Operators Association (ORGANDA) and led the Land Transport and Ferry Committee under KADIN Indonesia. She also sits on the Board of Advisors for KADIN Jakarta and has advised Jakarta’s Provincial Transportation Board.

Eka is deeply committed to women’s leadership and youth empowerment. Through a strategic collaboration between BIG and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), she helped launch UGMPreneurs, a national platform to incubate student entrepreneurship and foster industry-academia synergy.
Internationally, she was selected as Indonesia’s Eisenhower Fellow in the U.S., participated in the Alibaba Netpreneur Program, and has been awarded the title of Emeritus Professor by the Guangdong University of Finance, China. She holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and has completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School and MIT Sloan School of Management.
